History Teacher

Location: BD6, Bradford
Contract: Full Time
Salary: £160–£270 per day

DBS: Enhanced DBS required

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in BD6, Bradford, on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire students through engaging and challenging History lessons, while helping them develop a strong understanding of historical events, people and societies.

The Role

As a History Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Inspire students and develop their enthusiasm for History.
• Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations where required.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing appropriate feedback and support.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the History department and across the school.
• Contribute to the wider life and activities of the school.
• Follow all school policies relating to safeguarding, behaviour and professional conduct.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Have experience teaching History within a secondary school setting.
• Have strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for History.
• Be confident delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Have excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Be able to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Hold a valid Enhanced DBS, ideally on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.
• Be able to provide suitable references and evidence of eligibility to work in the UK.
