Their Design Technology department plays a crucial role in fostering innovation, problem-solving, and critical thinking amongst students.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Design Technology Teacher to join our agency at the start of the next academic year. The successful candidate will teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, delivering engaging lessons that ignite curiosity and inspire creativity. You will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, empowering students to explore a range of design disciplines, including graphics, product design, textiles, and more.

You will:
– Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students at different levels of ability.
– Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated to explore and experiment with design concepts.
– Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to facilitate hands-on learning experiences and practical skill development.
– Adopt a collaborative classroom culture where students are encouraged to share ideas, collaborate on projects, and provide constructive feedback to their peers.
– Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback to support their growth and development.
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative curriculum materials and resources that align with the school’s objectives and educational standards.
– Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events as required.

You will have:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
– Degree or equivalent qualification in Design Technology or a related field.
– Proven experience teaching Design Technology at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 level.
– Strong knowledge of design principles, materials, and processes across various disciplines.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
– Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equality of opportunity.
– Enthusiasm for keeping abreast of developments in design technology education and incorporating new ideas and technologies into teaching practice.
– The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience for students.
