Role: Design & Technology Technician – Temp to Perm
Location: Bradford

We’re working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Bradford to recruit a dedicated and proactive Design & Technology Technician to support their thriving DT department.
About the Role
As the DT Technician, you’ll pay a vital role in supporting the delivery of engaging and safe practical lessons across a range of DT disciplines, including Resistant Materials, Product Design and Engineering. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and make a real impact on students’ learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain and manage tools, equipment and materials for practical lessons
- Support teaching staff during lessons, offering technical assistance and guidance
- Ensure all machinery and tools are used safely and maintained in line with health & safety regulations
- Assist with stock control, ordering supplies and maintaining a well-organised workshop
- Contribute to the creation of engaging displays and learning resources
- To assist the Art & Photography Technician in using the Design & Technology machine workshop to prepare products for Arts & Photography
About You
- Experience in a workshop, engineering or DT environment (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
- Confident using a range of tools and machinery (training provided where needed)
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
- A genuine interest in supporting young people’s learning and creativity
- DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
