Best In Class is looking for a passionate and dedicated Teacher of English to join a school in Bradford. About the Role:

As a Teacher of English, you will be instrumental in shaping students’ reading, writing, and analytical abilities, equipping them for academic success and beyond. Your role will involve delivering engaging and insightful lessons that cater to diverse learning needs, ensuring that every student can achieve their fullest potential.

 

Key Responsibilities:

– Design, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.

– Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.

– Assess, monitor, and track student progress, offering constructive feedback to guide continuous improvement.

– Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share resources, contributing to a cohesive and comprehensive curriculum.

– Participate actively in departmental meetings, shaping the development of the English curriculum and supporting the department’s overall success.

– Engage with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.

– Play an active role in the school community, participating in extracurricular activities and supporting school events.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

– Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in English or a related field.

– Has proven experience teaching English at the secondary level, with a thorough understanding of the national curriculum.

– Possesses a deep passion for English literature and language, with the ability to inspire students of all abilities.

– Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills and the ability to cultivate a stimulating learning environment.

– Exhibits strong organisational and communication skills, thriving in a collaborative team setting.

– Is committed to continuous professional development and eager to contribute to the school’s ongoing success.
