Best in Class is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a thriving primary school in Leeds. This role offers the chance to support pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

About the Role:

Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support individual learning plans

Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of additional needs (e.g. autism, ADHD, SEMH)

Assist with classroom activities, behaviour management, and sensory support

Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

About You:

Previous experience supporting children with SEN (in UK education)
-
A caring, patient, and resilient nature
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
A proactive approach and willingness to learn

Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Team Teach) – desirable but not essential

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one through Best in Class)
