We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN or SEMH Support Assistant to join a fantastic Alternative Provision team in Bingley after the October half-term.

This is a long-term role running from after half-term, with the potential to continue beyond. We have both part-time and full-time opportunities available.


About the Role

You’ll be working as part of a supportive, experienced team, providing one-to-one and small group support for students with a range of additional needs, including:

  • PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)
  • Autism / ASC
  • SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs)
  • Challenging behaviour

The ideal candidate will be calm, patient and confident in adapting to a range of needs, supporting pupils in their learning, communication and personal development.


Requirements

  • An in-date Team Teach Level 1 or above qualification
  • Up-to-date Enhanced DBS (child & adult workforce)
  • Experience supporting children or your people with SEN and/or SEMH
  • Comfortable with personal care
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Positive, proactive and nurturing approach
