Are you passionate about supporting children in their learning and development? Due to high demand across Bradford, we are seeking multiple SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary school settings, supporting pupils who require additional help to access learning.
These roles involve supporting children with a variety of learning, communication, emotional and developmental needs. Many pupils benefit from consistent, patient support to help them engage with education, build confidence and develop key skills. Schools provide structured and nurturing environments where personalised support plays a vital role in pupil progress.
You will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, supporting academic learning and social development. The role can be challenging at times but offers rewarding opportunities to make a real difference.
Experience from the following backgrounds is transferable and welcomed:
- Youth work
- Care or support work
- Residential childcare
- Community work
- Behaviour mentoring
About the Role:
You will be supporting pupils with:
- Additional learning needs
- Behavioural and emotional support needs
- Physical or developmental disabilities
- 1:1 and small group support
- Personal care where required
- Emotional regulation and engagement in learning
- Supporting teaching staff and accessible, differentiated lessons
- Maintaining a safe, positive and structured learning environment
Requirements:
- Availability to work full-time during school hours
- Willingness to support personal care needs where necessary
- A genuine commitment to supporting children with additional needs
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
