Best In Class have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant, looking for work with an immediate start. As a leading education-focused recruitment agency, we have built incredible relationships with various Primary Schools across Bradford; the school we are recruiting on behalf of for this role is based in the BD8 area of Bradford. The successful candidate will understand their roles and responsibilities thoroughly, with the ability to carry out their role professionally.

As a general Teaching Assistant, you will be working alongside the class teacher to provide additional support within a mainstream classroom to students. You will be expected to collaborate with the teachers to support the delivery of high-quality lessons, assist in the preparation and organisation of teaching materials and provide individual or small group intervention with students when necessary. It is important within this role that you can build meaningful, positive working relationships with students, parents/guardians and other staff members to provide an inclusive environment where the aim is to always provide holistic learning to each student. It is expected that you will support the class teacher with management of behaviour and expectations of students whilst they are in the education setting; utilising a range of behaviour strategies will enable you to do this thoroughly and effectively. Students will be set work to complete and you may be required to help them through this by breaking down topics for them to understand in a more in depth manner. The school have a strong ethos and aim for students to succeed in an environment that enables them to step out of their comfort zone but also utilise their abilities to complete work to the best of their ability. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a passion for contributing to the educational development of students
  • Have patience and the ability to adapt to diverse student needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with the national curriculum and teaching methods to use

The successful candidate must have:

  • Qualifications relating to the role, ideally Level 3 or above
  • Experience working with people with learning difficulties
  • An enhanced DBS that is registered to the update service
  • Two suitable references covering the past two years
  • Right to work in the U.K
